week 4: remote

This week I am proud of myself professionally because I was able to work remote and produce a satisfying amount of work to turn into my supervisor. I was given a few prompts to research additional trend forecasting for Fall 22/23 off of WGSN. Now that I have a grasp on the banded customer I was able to filter through and zero in on some key trends that could be great for the upcoming mood of Fall 22/23. I was able to prepare a slide deck of my key points, collect photos, and now getting to build on that further by hashing out some specific materials and design details.

I’m also going to toot my own horn for coming up with a great Fall/Holiday campaign for social media to introduce new products. There needed to be a common thread, but multiple categories as the product has a wide variety of aesthetics. My supervisor LOVED the idea and is going to incorporate it into their Fall roll out on social media! It was a proud little moment and a great feeling to contribute in real time to the team! I’m currently working through brainstorming new product ideas for the upcoming season and new product that doesn’t yet exist in the hair accessories world. I’m particularly excited to see if I could possibly create a new product for the team!

It has been very convenient getting to WFH, but I’m excited to get to work in person again next week!
